Time Lapse - Designing a small house on Google Sketchup (Speed Art) (Minimalism)

Time Lapse - Designing a small house on Google Sketchup (Speed Art) (Minimalism) Tube. Duration : 7.80 Mins.

Please watch the newer, better version here: www.youtube.com A timelapse of a screen recording, at a speed varying between 20x and 100x. It shows about 6 hours of work on Trimble Sketchup 8, designing a house from the ground up. It goes through a few separate stages of detail: 1. Footprint, walls, garden walls 2. Inside walls, window, pool. 3. Doors, windows, stairs. 4. Localised example of detailed furnishing (dining table and kitchen by me, TV and sofa from the 3D warehouse) This video could be used as a how-to, or a software demonstration, as it shows you how to make houses with interiors and proper measurements, as well as familiarising you with the software: basic tools, components, general behaviour, etc. The house is 11.7m by 11.7m, or 26.7m including the spacious garden and pool. It is designed to be a holiday house. It has an open-plan ground floor with a kitchen and dining and living areas, and three rooms upstairs with en suites. It is in the minimalist style, in that the design has a theme, but few pointless features. For example, the walls and floors are all 30cm thick, and the walls are white, while the floors are edged with black. However there are no walls that are just there for style.
